A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for a maternity leave assignment from April 27 to May 29 in Grand Prairie, TX. This role supports an elementary caseload of 50-60 students at an elementary school setting. The position offers flexibility with a 4- or 5-day workweek, and shift options between 7:30 AM–3:30 PM or 8:00 AM–4:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to elementary students within the assigned caseload.
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with educational staff.
- Deliver services in a designated space described as a “closet,” with additional details to be shared during the interview.
- Utilize licensed expertise to support communication skills growth consistent with educational standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation compliant with state and school requirements.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the state of Texas.
- Experience working in school settings with elementary-aged students preferred.
- Flexible schedule availability during the maternity leave period.
- Comfortable managing a caseload of 50-60 students.
- Ability to work in a compact space and adapt to onsite environmental conditions.
- Teletherapy experience is a plus but not required.
This contract-to-hire role provides a chance to gain experience supporting school-based speech pathology services during a defined maternity leave. There are no opportunities for summer or following school year extension.
