Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Fort Pierce, FL
Step into a rewarding role supporting students’ communication development as a Speech-Language Pathologist in vibrant Southeast Florida. This full-year contract offers diverse settings and exposure to dynamic school communities, with both full-year and maternity leave opportunities across K-12 campuses. Your expertise will empower students from varied backgrounds and needs, including those in ASD, EBD, and InD units.
Assignments are on-site only, with 35 hours per week at 1–2 nearby schools depending on assignment. You'll be instrumental in fostering growth and inclusivity, working alongside collaborative colleagues—other SLPs and SLPAs—at several locations. Carefully structured caseloads include elementary, middle, and high school students, ensuring professional variety and the chance to concentrate on the areas you excel at most.
What You’ll Need:
- Active SLP-CCC licensure (FL)
- Experience or enthusiasm for serving K-12 populations, including specialized ASD/EBD units
- School-based SLP background strongly preferred
- Ability to adapt to changing caseloads and collaborate with multidisciplinary peers
- Completion of fingerprinting (can be expedited via DOH records)
- Availability for interviews on July 1

- Assess, develop, and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs
- Document progress, collaborate with families and staff, and support inclusive learning environments
- Travel minimally—assignments are consolidated to 1–2 schools
