Advance your career on the beautiful southeast Florida coast with a contract opportunity supporting students as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). Full-year, on-site roles are available for dedicated SLPs interested in making an immediate and lasting impact across elementary, middle, and high school settings. These assignments provide experience with diverse student populations, including general education, ASD, EBD, and InD units. Full-time hours (35 per week) offer stability, while the structure of assignments allows for meaningful collaboration with SLP colleagues or, in some cases, the chance to lead solo.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active SLP licensure (CCC-SLP required)
- Experience with K-12 students in a school setting preferred
- Willingness to work on-site across one or two campuses, depending on assignment
- Flexibility to support caseloads that may include middle or high school students, as well as specialized classrooms (ASD, EBD, InD)
- Up-to-date fingerprints per credentialing requirements (DOH prints may be transferable)
- Strong collaboration skills and adaptability for both team-based and independent settings
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver therapy, assessment, and intervention to a range of age groups (PK-12), with individualized support for diverse needs
- Cover maternity leaves on a rotating basis or fill year-long gaps, ensuring continued speech/language services
- Work closely with fellow SLPs, SLPAs, and educators at supportive schools
- Document progress, attend IEP meetings, and communicate effectively with families and staff
- Manage a varied caseload smoothly in a changing educational environment
