Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Fairport, NY
Step into an impactful, school-based contract opportunity supporting students from kindergarten through age 21 near Fairport, NY. This position is designed for professionals ready to make a difference in the lives of children and young adults, with a start date as soon as possible and an end date of June 26, 2026. You’ll work a steady schedule of 37.5 hours each week, utilizing your expertise and passion to help students develop their communication skills in a collaborative educational environment.
What you’ll bring:
- Master’s degree or higher in Communication Sciences and Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology
- Active licensure and certification (SLP-CCC or eligibility for CFY)
- Experience working in school settings with K-21 populations
- Knowledge of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) preferred
- Strong assessment, intervention, and documentation abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families
Your role will include:
- Conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations
- Creating and delivering individualized intervention plans
- Collaborating with teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
- Supporting and training staff on AAC devices and strategies
- Keeping detailed records of student progress, assessments, and meetings
- Attending IEP meetings and contributing to student support plans
