School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Bridgeport, Connecticut
Embark on a meaningful contract assignment as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a dynamic educational setting near Bridgeport, CT. This onsite role runs from late August 2026 through May 2027 and offers the chance to make a significant impact on the lives of students throughout the academic year.
You’ll work full-time, with weekly hours ranging from 30 to 32.5, and play a pivotal role as part of the educational team. While specific caseloads and grade levels will be determined closer to the start date, flexibility and experience in school environments are essential. Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Connecticut State SLP License
- Current Educator Certification for SLP
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Proven experience working as a Speech-Language Pathologist in school settings
- Adaptable to variable caseloads and flexible with assigned grade levels
- Committed to providing compassionate, student-centered services
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, and communication challenges
- Develop individualized goals and track progress in collaboration with teachers and parents
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate, timely documentation
- Consult with interdisciplinary staff to promote student success across educational and social environments
- Deliver therapy sessions onsite and adapt methods to meet the unique needs of each student
