Qualifications:
- Current Illinois Professional Educator License with SLP endorsement
- Active Illinois SLP license
- Bilingual in Spanish and English, with proficiency supporting Spanish-speaking students
- Experience or strong interest in early childhood and/or elementary-aged populations
- Ability to adapt to an itinerant role, traveling between 1-2 nearby schools as needed
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for students
- Develop individualized therapy plans targeting each child’s unique needs
- Provide both direct and consultative SLP services in alignment with IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Support both early childhood and elementary students as assigned
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive environment where students from all backgrounds feel seen and heard
