School Speech Language Pathologist - Evanston, IL
Step into a rewarding role supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist working with a culturally diverse school network spanning Chicago and up to North Chicago. This full-time opportunity runs from July 2026 through June 2027, with placements across multiple school sites serving PreK–8th grade. Your expertise will empower learners’ communication growth and engagement, particularly if you bring bilingual skills—Spanish language proficiency is highly preferred, although not required.
Your experience with school-based SLP services and an active CCC credential will help deliver vital speech and language support in an engaging in-person environment. You’ll have the chance to impact young learners within a vibrant, supportive educational community.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
- Previous experience providing SLP services in a school setting
- Illinois SLP licensure (or eligibility)
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred, but not required; willingness to work with multilingual populations is essential
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organization skills
- Commitment to fostering inclusive, culturally responsive classroom support
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative SLP services to students PreK–8 at multiple sites
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and track student progress
- Provide culturally responsive, individualized interventions
- Travel between assigned school locations as required (in person)
