Ideal candidates will bring expertise in feeding and swallowing (safe eating practices), as well as experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), ensuring comprehensive support for students requiring these specialized skills. Flexibility is important, as the caseload specifics and precise site assignments are still being finalized. Enthusiasm for working collaboratively alongside other educational professionals will help drive success for the students you serve.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP license for the state of Oregon
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in a school-based environment preferred
- Strong knowledge of feeding/swallowing protocols and AAC devices/interventions
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to travel between multiple locations as needed
Responsibilities Include:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders in students
- Develop and implement individualized education and intervention plans
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on life skills programming
