School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Essex Junction, Vermont

This contract-based opportunity calls for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to support a small yet vibrant school serving pre-K through 4th grade students. With a manageable caseload of just 15 students, you’ll have the chance to provide individual attention and create meaningful impact, all in a supportive educational environment.
Your schedule will be part-time (0.8 FTE), and there is flexibility if you prefer even fewer hours. You’ll serve one site, with some students receiving services up to five days a week. The position is open to both Clinical Fellows and Assistants, with supervision provided as needed to foster your professional growth.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, or enrollment in a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY); SLPA certification also considered
- Hold (or be eligible for) ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), or be on the path to obtaining it
- Previous school-based experience is a plus, but not required
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Enthusiasm for working with young children
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy to students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other school professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records and document student outcomes
- Participate in school activities, starting with in-service on August 21st
