Speech Language Pathologist in Englewood, CO
Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting students through essential speech and language services. This position covers a medical leave throughout the fall and early winter, providing continuity and quality care to elementary and some PreK students. Serving a single site, you'll manage a caseload of approximately 40 learners primarily with mild to moderate needs. Once the incumbent SLP returns post-surgery, your expertise will continue to be valued as you contribute to compensatory service delivery. This school-based role is rooted in collaboration and effective communication within dedicated educational teams.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Hold current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Minimum of one year of recent school-based SLP experience
- Experience managing elementary and PreK caseloads
- Strong foundation in providing direct and indirect speech and language interventions
- Ability to independently handle a caseload and maintain thorough documentation
- Clear communicator with staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to in-person learning environments
- Cannot accept SLPAs, Clinical Fellows, virtual (Voco) providers, or 1099 contractors
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive assessments, therapy, and progress monitoring for elementary and PreK students
- Develop, implement, and update IEPs in collaboration with other educators and specialists
- Track compensatory service needs and work closely with returning SLP on follow-up
- Serve as the primary speech resource for your site, coordinating schedules and consultation
- Participate in school-based meetings and contribute to the overall student support framework
