Speech Language Pathologist in Edison, NJ
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC). This assignment runs from ASAP through June 25, 2027, with consistent hours (8:15 AM–3:15 PM, 35 hours/week). You’ll be responsible for servicing an elementary caseload at a vibrant school site, collaborating with educators and families to enhance communication outcomes for students.
Primary Qualifications:
- Active New Jersey SLP license required (ASHA CCCs)
- At least one year of school-based SLP experience, specifically with elementary populations
- Ability to provide your own testing materials for assessments and evaluations
- Comfortable navigating district protocols and servicing caseloads independently
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Reliable transportation and manageable commute
- Clearance required for TB, physical, and fingerprinting (agency and district requirements)
- Not accepting Clinical Fellow (CF) or SLPA candidates due to supervision limitations
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy to students per IEP mandates
- Complete comprehensive speech/language evaluations and re-evaluations
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Communicate with families and caregivers to support student outcomes
- Adapt services as needed to meet diverse student needs
