An exciting contract position is available for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist who enjoys working in a school-based setting. Serving a vibrant elementary caseload, this full-time opportunity offers consistent hours from 8:15AM-3:15PM, totaling 35 hours per week, starting as soon as possible and continuing through June 25, 2027.
Working with elementary students, you will conduct speech and language evaluations, provide direct therapy services, and collaborate with educators and families to support student success. With a position based at Park Avenue School, reliable transportation and proximity to the area are essential.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current and valid NJ SLP licensure (CCC required)
- Demonstrated experience providing speech-language services in a school setting
- Ability to independently handle the assigned caseload
- Comfort with district policies and communication
- Competence in administering testing, assessments, and evaluations; must be able to provide your own testing materials
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents
- Must pass onboarding requirements: TB screening, physical exam, and completion of agency/district fingerprinting
- Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance and possess reliable transportation
- CF and SLPA candidates cannot be considered due to supervision requirements
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy aligned with IEP goals in an elementary school setting
- Manage assessments, maintain documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure student progress
- Communicate effectively with staff, families, and students
- Maintain required records and reports consistently and accurately
