Make a positive impact supporting elementary students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year. This engaging opportunity centers on K-5 students, providing vital SLP services in a collaborative, school-based environment. You'll work at two elementary campuses in a scenic community, allowing you to experience both variety and consistency in your caseload and routines.
Your assignment begins August 4, 2026, and concludes May 28, 2027, with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. Caseload consists of 35+ students, offering meaningful engagement while letting you focus on the individualized needs of students.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Current, valid New Mexico Speech-Language Pathology license
- Current, valid New Mexico Public Education Department (PED) license in hand (required; candidates with pending or in-process licenses cannot be considered)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Experience in school-based or pediatric SLP settings preferred
- Collaborative mindset and adaptability to support students across multiple schools
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy to K-5 students within the educational setting
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Conduct evaluations and maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations
- Collaborate with teachers, multidisciplinary teams, and families to ensure student success
- Participate in school-team meetings and offer consultative services as needed
