Qualifications and Requirements:
- Current, valid New Mexico Speech-Language Pathology license (no pending applications, must be ready to present upon request)
- Active New Mexico Public Education Department (PED) credential
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
- Familiarity working with elementary-age students is highly valued
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to a caseload of 35+ K-5 students according to IEP goals
- Conduct evaluations and provide timely written assessments
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
- Document therapy sessions and progress in compliance with district and state regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to individualized service planning
