Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Maryland SLP License required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required
- Experience working in Maryland schools strongly preferred
- Background evaluating and serving K-12 students with varied needs, including moderate to severe cases
- Ability to travel between multiple school sites as an itinerant provider
Responsibilities:
- Manage a dynamic caseload of spot-fill assignments across elementary, middle, and high school settings
- Deliver direct therapy and conduct assessments for students with diverse communication disorders
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide specialized services to high school students in self-contained classrooms with moderate to severe needs
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Adapt interventions and service delivery to meet the unique needs of each site and student
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to a supportive, student-focused learning culture
