Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid SLP-CCC certification required
- Active Maryland Speech-Language Pathology license
- Prior experience working in Maryland schools preferred
- Expertise in servicing K-12 student populations, including moderate to severe needs
- Flexibility to travel between multiple school sites as assigned
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to K-12 students in both self-contained (high school, moderate to severe) and itinerant school environments
- Manage a dynamic caseload that addresses spot fill needs across multiple locations
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs), and document progress in accordance with district standards
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings, collaborating with educators and support staff to ensure holistic care
- Serve as a valuable resource for colleagues and families, offering guidance on speech and language development and intervention strategies
