Key qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state SLP license or eligibility for New Jersey licensure
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or candidates completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are welcome
- Experience or a strong interest in pediatric and school-based speech services
- Skilled in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
Role responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students with speech, language, and communication challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to develop targeted therapy plans
- Maintain accurate, timely records and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
- Help facilitate students’ progress and participation in educational activities
- Deliver therapy in individual or group settings, adapting methods to meet diverse needs
- Keep current with best practices and compliance standards in school-based SLP
