Key Qualifications:
- Hold a valid SLP certification with CCC.
- Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in school-based environments.
- Strong understanding of the unique communication needs of middle and high school students.
- Skilled in assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, families, and other support staff.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess and identify students’ speech and language needs using standardized tools and observations.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) addressing students’ speech and language goals.
- Deliver direct therapy services in individual and group settings, adapting techniques for age and developmental stage.
- Collaborate with educators and parents to support student progress and integrate strategies in the classroom.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student support teams.
- Maintain accurate records, document progress, and complete necessary reports in a timely manner.
