Qualifications and Skills:
- Current and valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in Michigan (or eligibility to obtain)
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field required
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly desirable
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Ability to effectively assess and treat communication disorders among diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough speech, language, and communication assessments
- Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students, both individually and in groups
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state requirements
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student success
- Participate in IEP meetings, case conferences, and professional development
