Key Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), or eligibility as a Clinical Fellow (CFY)
- Valid state licensure (or ability to obtain)
- School-based SLP experience preferred, but strong CFs encouraged to apply
- Skilled in assessment, goal setting, and implementing varied therapy techniques
- Effective communicator with students, teachers, and parents
- Demonstrated organizational abilities and a collaborative approach to problem-solving
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech and language therapy services to school-aged students
- Conduct assessments and provide individualized education plan (IEP) recommendations
- Document progress, maintain compliance, and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and families
- Support continuity of care during staff leave periods, ensuring students’ needs are met seamlessly
- Contribute ideas and positivity to the school’s therapy team
