Ideal candidates will possess:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Michigan
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or eligibility as a Clinical Fellow (CFY)
- Previous experience with elementary school-aged children (preferred)
- Familiarity with school-based documentation, IEP development, and elementary caseload management
- Ability to facilitate both in-person and teletherapy services
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary education teams
Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing and identifying students’ speech and language needs
- Delivering direct therapy services and supporting students in developing communication skills
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other service providers
- Completing required documentation and participating in IEP meetings
- Using innovative therapy techniques for virtual or in-person services as needed
