Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Detroit, Michigan

Qualifications and Experience:
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Prior experience working in educational settings, particularly with pediatric populations
- Knowledgeable in both healthcare and school-based SLP practices
- Familiarity with conducting assessments, designing IEPs, and implementing evidence-based interventions
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) to practice as an SLP
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive assessment and intervention services for students with speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in alignment with state and federal guidelines
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to maximize each student’s success
- Collect data and maintain accurate documentation of student progress and services provided
- Provide consultation and education to staff and caregivers on communication strategies for diverse learners
- Adapt therapy modalities for both in-classroom support and small-group or individual settings
- Participate in team meetings, IEP reviews, and professional development as needed
