Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure as an SLP or eligibility to obtain prior to start
- Previous experience in school settings or pediatric healthcare preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational abilities
Primary Functions:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for students
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to student needs
- Work closely with teachers, families, and school leaders to optimize student progress
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and IEP documentation as required
- Participate in IEP meetings and advocate for students’ speech and language needs
- Provide education and resources to staff and families to maximize support for students
- Stay current on best practices, professional standards, and compliance requirements
