Pediatric School-Based SLP | Warren, Michigan
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available to work with young students ages 3-7 in a school setting located in Warren, MI. This role focuses on providing therapeutic support through direct service and evaluations across early childhood and early elementary classrooms, including those with diverse special education needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting new Child Find evaluations for children ages 3-5 to identify speech and language needs
- Delivering speech-language services to Early Childhood Special Education classes
- Supporting students in an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) K/1 classroom
- Serving K-2 cross-categorical classrooms to address varied speech and language goals
- Collaborating with educators and families to develop individualized plans and promote communication success
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Certification in Speech-Language Pathology with the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working with pediatric populations in educational and healthcare environments
- Familiarity with teletherapy service delivery is advantageous
- Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is welcome, but not mandatory
- Strong understanding of early childhood speech and language development
- Ability to manage caseloads efficiently and tailor therapy to individual needs
Hours for this position are full-time from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, providing a consistent schedule conducive to work-life balance.
