What We’re Seeking:
- State licensure or certification as an SLPA; SLPs are strongly preferred
- At least one year of previous experience working in a school setting
- Bilingual abilities—especially French—are a significant plus
- Commitment to serving students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Cultural awareness and sensitivity, with an interest in contributing to a Native American school community
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students as assigned
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to foster student progress
- Conduct screenings and assist with assessments, documenting student performance and progress
- Adapt activities and materials to reflect cultural relevance and student needs
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school events
- Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with school and state guidelines
