Qualifications and Skills:
- Current Michigan SLP license (non-negotiable)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Previous experience working in schools or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong ability to adapt therapy approaches to various disabilities and developmental levels
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Organizational skills for managing caseloads and documentation efficiently
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services for students, primarily in an elementary through secondary school environment
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and intervention strategies
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to best meet student needs and ensure compliance with IEP goals
- Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and data related to student outcomes
- Serve as a resource for staff on communication disorders and evidence-based interventions
- Manage a caseload of up to 40 students with a variety of disabilities, ensuring high-quality, student-centered care
This full-time opportunity follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:15 AM to 3:10 PM, offering reliable hours and a focused, supportive work environment.
