Speech Language Pathologist in Des Plaines, IL
Step into a rewarding contract assignment as a Bilingual Speech Language Pathologist supporting students from PreK through 8th grade in multiple northern Chicago communities. This full-time, in-person opportunity begins July 20, 2026, and runs through June 11, 2027. You'll have the opportunity to serve diverse populations and make a significant impact across several school sites while collaborating with a dedicated multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Speech Language Pathologist license (SLP-CCC) required
- Experience providing school-based speech therapy services
- Fluent in both English and Spanish
- Strong understanding of evaluation, assessment, and treatment for PreK-8 students
- Ability to work onsite across multiple locations as needed
- Previous school experience strongly preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students in PreK-8
- Assess, diagnose, and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reporting
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student success
- Adapt therapy techniques to meet the needs of bilingual learners
- Travel to schools within the assigned network area
