Provide specialized speech-language therapy services in a middle school setting working with students in grades 6 through 8. This contract position offers both full-time (35 hours/week) and part-time (approximately 17.5 hours/week) opportunities, with some flexibility for itinerant services across two schools. The role requires delivering individualized therapy plans, collaborating with educators and families, and maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with state and district standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans tailored to individual student needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
  • Maintain up-to-date, detailed records and reports on student evaluations and therapy outcomes
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development activities

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current Florida State License as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA required
  • Master’s degree in Speech Pathology, Communication Science Disorders, or related field
  • Experience working in school-based speech-language pathology preferred
  • Ability to provide services across multiple school locations if needed (itinerant services)
