Preferred background and expertise:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Valid state license or eligibility for licensure in speech-language pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) credentials considered
- Experience or strong interest in pediatric and elementary school settings
- Background in teletherapy is a plus
- Capable of working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Key responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide speech and language therapy for elementary-aged students
- Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy sessions
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, families, and other support staff to maximize student outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate recommendations clearly
- Integrate both in-person and teletherapy delivery, dependent on assignment and needs
