Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Danbury, CT
Step into a rewarding contract role as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students from August 24, 2027, through December 21, 2027. You’ll provide crucial speech and language services for a caseload of 23 middle school students with diverse needs, helping foster communication skills and support their academic growth. Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and current SLP licensure required
- Previous experience in a school setting, preferably with middle school students
- Familiarity with a range of student classifications and ability to adapt services accordingly
- Proficiency in conducting evaluations, developing IEPs, and updating progress reports
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Professionalism and adaptability for handling classroom, lunch, or bus duties as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language services or consultation, as outlined in student IEPs
- Administer initial and re-evaluations, complete formal reports, and document findings
- Prepare and submit one trimester progress report per student during assignment
- Participate in annual review meetings occurring within the assignment window
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and families
- Fulfill additional responsibilities such as lunch or bus duty, contributing to the school community
This contract position runs weekdays from 7:45 AM to 2:45 PM, offering consistent hours and the chance to make a significant impact in a collaborative educational environment.
