School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Maternity Leave Coverage
Cullman City Schools in Cullman, AL is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an onsite maternity leave coverage position through December 18, 2026. This opportunity offers 30 hours per week across a consistent Monday through Friday schedule.
The district is open to experienced SLPs, new graduates completing their Clinical Fellowship, and licensed SLPAs. Supervision is available. The selected provider will serve approximately 50 students in PreK through first grade at one school site.
Responsibilities:
· Provide school-based speech and language services to students in PreK through first grade
· Conduct evaluations and assessments as assigned
· Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on student needs
· Provide direct individual and group therapy services
· Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to support student progress
· Participate in IEP meetings and assist with developing appropriate student goals
· Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and required school records
· Follow all district, state, and professional guidelines for speech-language services
Experience:
· Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
· New graduates and Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply
· SLPAs will also be considered
· Experience supporting early childhood and elementary-aged students is preferred
Education & Licensure:
· Appropriate Alabama SLP or SLPA licensure and certification required
· Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required for SLP and Clinical Fellow candidates
· Supervision is available for Clinical Fellows and SLPAs
