Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Valid state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP in Alabama
  • Previous experience working in school or pediatric settings preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes, documentation requirements, and speech/language intervention strategies
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy to students per IEP goals
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication needs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and monitor treatment plans
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide input for goal development and progress tracking
  • Maintain detailed progress notes, evaluations, and required documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards
  • Offer consultation and training to teachers and staff to support students’ communication needs in the classroom
