In this supervisory role, you will provide guidance to Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) on an elementary campus, ensuring high standards of care and effective therapeutic approaches. The position covers a diverse caseload of approximately 70-80 students per campus, giving you the chance to make a profound impact while expanding your professional skills. This is anticipated to be an itinerant role, offering a varied and engaging work environment as you support multiple locations.
Ideal candidates will have a strong background in school-based speech therapy, a passion for clinical excellence, and proven leadership abilities.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence) required
- Texas SLP licensure in good standing
- Prior experience working in school settings
- Experience supervising SLPAs preferred
- Outstanding communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to collaborative, student-centered care
- No teletherapy (Voco) participation for this position
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement IEPs
- Deliver group and individual therapy to elementary students
- Supervise and mentor SLPAs, supporting their growth
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to optimize outcomes
- Maintain comprehensive and compliant documentation
- Adapt to itinerant scheduling as needed to serve students across campuses
