A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist with a passion for supporting students in life skills programming. This role will cover up to three locations, with exact sites to be assigned soon. Work collaboratively with dedicated educators to make a tangible difference for students with communication needs.
This position is full-time, 40 hours per week, beginning August 31, 2026, and continuing through June 17, 2027. The ideal professional will have strong clinical expertise, particularly in feeding and swallowing (safe eating), as well as experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). The caseload is currently being finalized and will center around serving students who benefit from life skills instruction and multifaceted speech services.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Experience working in school-based settings or similar environments
- Demonstrated ability supporting students in life skills or special education programs
- Familiarity with feeding/swallowing protocols and safe eating procedures
- Proficiency with AAC devices and intervention strategies
- Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language services to eligible students in accordance with IEPs
- Support life skills classrooms, focusing on speech, feeding, swallowing, and AAC needs
- Consult with teachers and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective interventions
- Conduct assessments, maintain documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
- Deliver training and support to staff and families as needed
