Bring your expertise in speech-language pathology to a vibrant educational setting in the greater St. Paul area! This contract opportunity offers a chance to make an immediate impact, supporting a dynamic elementary caseload within a full-time, full-school-year assignment. Initially, your efforts will focus on covering a maternity leave for a valued educator. After Thanksgiving break, your contributions will shift to supporting students in other school buildings, filling in for leaves as they arise, or by providing essential compensatory services for students who have missed speech therapy earlier in the year.
Desired Qualifications:
- Proven experience working as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), preferably in a school-based setting
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Active Minnesota state license in SLP
- Comfortable with adapting to different school environments and supporting various student needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, building partnerships with educators, families, and administrators
- Ability to manage caseload transitions efficiently and maintain accurate documentation
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver engaging and effective speech-language therapy to elementary-aged students
- Assess, diagnose, document, and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support children’s educational goals
- Adapt quickly to new assignments, whether covering leaves or addressing compensatory service needs
- Maintain thorough case notes and required records to comply with school and state protocols
