Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students’ communication and language development for the upcoming 2026/2027 academic year. You’ll have the opportunity to work across different schools within a vibrant district community, beginning with an assignment at a dynamic elementary school. Initially, your focus will be providing essential support during a maternity leave; as the year progresses, you’ll transition to filling in for other leaves or offering compensatory services, ensuring continuity of care for students.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold a valid MN School SLP License
- SLP-CCC or hold ASHA certification
- Prior experience in school-based settings preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and student needs
- Committed to fostering inclusive and positive educational opportunities for all students
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy services to students
- Complete documentation, evaluations, and progress reports in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to develop and implement effective IEPs
- Address a variety of speech and language needs, adjusting therapy plans as required
- Transition smoothly into different school settings as needed
- Provide compensatory services for students who have experienced interrupted support
