A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in a school setting in Helotes, TX, with assignments primarily located within San Antonio, TX. This contract role involves working closely with students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade across multiple schools. The position requires providing comprehensive speech and language services, including evaluations, attending ARD meetings, supervising Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLP-As), and offering additional assessment support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations for students aged K-12
- Prepare for and participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings
- Supervise and collaborate with SLP-As to manage caseloads effectively
- Provide additional testing and support as needed to ensure student progress
- Maintain compliance with state licensure and certification requirements
Qualifications:
- Valid Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA or equivalent credentialing with logged clinical hours
- Experience working in school settings preferred; caseload experience between 80-100 students
- Ability to work with bilingual or monolingual student populations
- Strong organizational and communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and district staff
Assignment Details:
- Location: Multiple schools in San Antonio, TX, including Young Women’s Leadership Academy (grades 6-12), Charles August Arnold Elementary (grades K-5), and others as assigned
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Start Date: As soon as possible through May 29, 2026
- Caseload Support: SLP-As available to assist
- Contract position with district oversight
