School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Columbia, South Carolina
A unique opportunity awaits skilled Speech-Language Pathologists seeking a rewarding contract position supporting K-12 students in the Columbia, Lexington, and Irmo areas. Flexible scheduling options are available, with either part-time or full-time hours ranging from 15 to 37.5 per week. This immediate need is for a February start, continuing through the end of the school year.
Contribute your valuable expertise to help students reach their full communication potential. You’ll provide assessment, interventions, and collaborative support to a welcoming school community. Ideal candidates are engaging, adaptable, and passionate about student success.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Clinical Fellowship applicants with prior school-based experience are encouraged to apply
- Familiarity with IEP procedures, documentation, and case management preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a dynamic educational environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication screenings and assessments
- Develop and implement IEP goals in accordance with student needs
- Deliver evidence-based therapy to individuals and small groups
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state/school standards
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
