Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting early learners as an SLP for the 26/27 school year. This contract position is set in a welcoming community close to Colorado Springs, offering the chance to impact preschool-aged students in a school environment. You'll be instrumental in fostering communication development, working with a manageable caseload of 40-50 students and dedicating your expertise each week throughout the academic year.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold a current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Previous experience in school-based settings, particularly with preschool and early childhood populations, is highly valued
- Strong understanding of assessment procedures, individualized education programs (IEPs), and therapy interventions for young learners
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with diverse needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for preschool students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress
- Provide direct therapy services, monitor development, and adjust interventions as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute insights for multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to positive student outcomes
This full-time position follows the school calendar, beginning with new staff training on July 27, 2026, and running from August 4, 2026, through May 21, 2027. With a consistent 37.5-hour workweek, you'll balance your passion for helping students with a schedule that aligns with the school year.
