Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Possession of (or eligibility for) a NY State SLP license
- CCC-SLP credential or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status accepted
- School-based SLP experience preferred, but strong clinical skills will be considered
- Skilled in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating diverse communication and swallowing disorders
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities
- Team-oriented with a flexible, student-centered mindset
Your impact:
- Provide therapy services to students with a variety of speech, language, and communication challenges
- Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), set measurable goals, and document progress
- Conduct assessments and participate in multidisciplinary meetings to determine students’ needs
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families on effective strategies and classroom modifications
- Maintain accurate records and ongoing communication to ensure compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
