Pediatric SLP in Paterson, NJ
Embark on a rewarding contract assignment supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist this school year. This opportunity covers a maternity leave starting May 1st through June 12th, with extended school year (ESY) needs and a continued assignment from September 8th until October 20th. Both full-time and part-time schedules will be considered, offering flexibility to match your availability. The role involves working weekdays from 9am to 3pm at a school setting near Paterson, NJ.
Qualifications:
- Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- CCC or CFY candidates invited to apply
- Strong background in pediatric speech and language therapy
- Previous experience supporting school-aged children in an educational or healthcare setting
- Comprehensive understanding of IEP documentation and school-based compliance
- Collaborative approach with students, families, and educational teams
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging speech and language therapy to K-12 students in individual and group settings
- Conduct evaluations and track student progress towards communication goals
- Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Coordinate with classroom teachers and other service providers for integrated student support
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to documentation guidelines and timelines
- Provide support for ESY programming as assigned
