School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Porter, Texas

Make a meaningful impact in the school community as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). Multiple SLPs are needed to provide expert therapy and support services for students across a number of school sites in the Porter, TX area. Caseloads will be assigned based on student populations and district needs, so flexibility and adaptability are essential. This opportunity offers a consistent, full-time schedule of 37 hours per week.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active SLP licensure appropriate for school settings
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Previous experience in school environments is highly valued
- Ability to collaborate comfortably with educators, parents, and other therapists
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills
- Flexibility to work across different campuses if necessary
- Adaptability with varying caseloads and diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students identified with communication disorders
- Participate in the assessment and evaluation process, including initial and re-evaluation testing
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date session notes, progress reports, and required documentation
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families to develop strategies for generalizing skills
- Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings as needed
- Monitor student progress, adjusting plans and services as appropriate
