Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Cicero, IL
Empower young learners and support diverse communities by bringing your Speech-Language Pathology expertise to a dynamic school network serving students from PreK through 8th grade. This full-time, onsite contract position will allow you to work in a collaborative environment, guiding students to achieve their communication development goals for the 2026-2027 academic year. You’ll primarily be based at two engaging sites with the potential to provide additional support at a third campus.
Your bilingual abilities in Spanish are especially valued to better assist families and children from a variety of backgrounds, but all qualified SLPs—bilingual or not—are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active CCC-SLP certification
- Illinois state licensure and credentials for school-based SLP (or ability to obtain)
- Previous school-based or pediatric SLP experience preferred
- Ability to work in-person; no teletherapy
- Bilingual Spanish-speaking skills highly preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech/language screenings, evaluations, and diagnostics for students PreK-8
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide direct therapy
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and school administrators to support students’ needs
- Maintain thorough documentation, progress monitoring, and timely reporting
- Participate in IEP meetings and student support teams
- Travel between assigned campuses within the network as needed
