This contract position is for experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) located in Chugiak, AK, serving an elementary school setting. This onsite role requires working full-time hours, five days a week, providing essential speech therapy services to students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to students, supporting their communication development
- Manage caseloads that include approximately 47 students spread across two schools
- Collaborate with educators and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state certification and licensure requirements
Qualifications:
- Valid Alaska certification and licensure for SLPs or SLPAs
- Experience working in school settings with children, preferably at the elementary level
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with school staff and families
- Ability to work onsite full-time (8.5 hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
