Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent
- Valid SLP license for the state of Illinois (or eligibility to obtain)
- Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and documentation
- Prior experience delivering therapy within school settings, spanning a range of grade levels (K–12)
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Assess speech, language, and communication needs of students through standardized and informal assessments
- Develop and deliver individualized therapy, adapting to each student’s learning style and needs
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert recommendations and progress updates
- Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, special education teams, and families to ensure student progress
- Maintain detailed records in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
- Offer consultative support and resources to classroom teachers
