Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Tinley Park, IL
Make an impact supporting high school students by providing speech-language pathology services on a flexible contract basis. This school-based position focuses on individual and group therapy for grades 9–12, helping a caseload of no more than 30 students achieve their communication goals.
Enjoy a balanced schedule with only three working days a week—set your preferred days, as long as Tuesday is included. Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state license to practice as an SLP
- Previous experience working with high school-aged students is preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to tailor therapy and interventions to individual student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for 9th–12th grade students
- Create and implement individualized therapy plans
- Provide both direct and consultative services, adapting interventions for a broad range of communication needs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to support student success
- Maintain documentation and progress reports aligned with legal and district standards
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute professional insight
- Manage a manageable caseload with attention to individualized service and care
