Qualifications:
- Valid Virginia SLP license (or eligibility) required
- Accepting SLP-CCC and SLP-CFY candidates
- Experience or strong interest in a school-based setting
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations (K-12)
- Passion for supporting students’ communication and educational goals
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and therapy services to students with communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators, families, and school teams
- Manage a diverse caseload across various age groups (elementary, middle, and high school)
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Offer guidance and resources to teachers and families regarding students’ communication needs
- Collaborate with other professionals to promote student growth and participation
