School-Based SLP | Cherry Hill, New Jersey
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCC certification is needed to cover a maternity leave assignment starting immediately through late spring. This contract role offers the opportunity to support students on the autism spectrum in a specialized school setting near Cherry Hill, NJ.
The position requires splitting time between two Marlton locations: Marlton Middle School and DeMasi School. Both serve higher-functioning students with autism, providing a focused environment for targeted therapy. Daily hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., providing consistent scheduling and routine.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting one-on-one speech therapy sessions lasting 30 minutes, typically seeing 6-7 students per day
- Developing and implementing individualized goals and objectives for students’ IEPs
- Writing detailed progress notes and planning future therapy sessions to ensure continuous student improvement
- Collaborating with educators and other professionals to support student success
Desired qualifications:
- Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) is required
- Experience working with school-age children, preferably with autism spectrum disorders
- Strong ability to create engaging, individualized therapy plans
- Effective documentation and communication skills
