School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Maternity Leave Coverage
A supportive school district in Charleston is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a school-based maternity leave position serving K–8 students. This role offers a collaborative, student-focused environment and an opportunity to work with a manageable caseload at a single school site.
Location: Charleston, SC
Employment Type: Part-Time, Contract
Schedule: 20–25 hours per week
Grade Level: K–8
Caseload: Approximately 40 students
Pay: $45-50+/hr
Assignment Dates: August–October 2026 (exact dates TBD)
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language evaluations, assessments, and therapy services to K–8 students
- Support students with a variety of communication needs, including articulation, language, fluency, and social communication
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
- Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
Experience:
- School-based or pediatric experience preferred
- Experience working with K–8 students is a plus
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active (or eligible for) South Carolina SLP licensure
- ASHA certification preferred
