Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP license in the state of Illinois
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility
- Previous pediatric or school-based experience highly regarded
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to design and implement individualized therapy plans
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for students in PreK–12th grade
- Develop and execute individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Track student progress, document sessions, and update records in alignment with school and state requirements
- Provide guidance and support to educators and families regarding effective communication strategies
- Participate in IEP meetings, training sessions, and school events as needed
- Adapt therapy techniques and resources to meet students’ unique needs
- Maintain confidentiality and cultivate a nurturing, inclusive learning environment
