Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Must be in your Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for speech-language pathology
- Eligibility for state licensure in Louisiana as required by the Department of Education
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, teachers, and families
- Passion for promoting student growth, progress, and participation within the educational environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech and language therapy services to a diverse K-12 student population
- Evaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans in accordance with students’ needs and IEP requirements
- Maintain thorough documentation on student progress and ongoing assessments
- Work closely with special education teams to provide intervention strategies and contribute to IEP meetings
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that supports communication skill development
- Receive regular supervision and mentorship from an experienced SLP as you progress through your CFY
