Key Details:
- Position: Speech-Language Pathologist (2 openings; CFYs welcome)
- Locations: Waterbury, CT and Hamden, CT
- School Types: • Waterbury – STEM magnet school, serving grades 6-11 • Hamden – K-12 arts magnet school, operating within a resource model
- Caseload: Approximately 20-25 students per caseload
- Contract Duration: Immediate start through end of school year (ASAP to EOSY)
- Program Focus: Both schools are not high-needs, allowing for a balanced and manageable workload
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with educators and other professionals to support student success
- Monitor and document student progress in speech and language development
- Provide services aligned with the school's resource model or program framework
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations along with school policies
Qualifications:
- Valid SLP certification (CCC-SLP or eligibility)
- Eligibility or current status as a Clinical Fellow Year candidate accepted
- Experience or interest in school-based speech-language pathology preferred
- Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds and grade levels
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
